Tex Lindsey is the Director of the Carolinas office for 1789 Investigations Group, bringing a wealth of experience as a law enforcement consultant and technical operations specialist. Since retiring from the United States Marshals Service (USMS) in 2021, Tex has been instrumental in building advanced technical and physical security programs for various high-profile corporations.
Tex’s career with the USMS spanned 30 years, culminating in his role as Chief Inspector, where he earned a reputation for excellence and innovation. One of his most notable achievements was developing and securing resources for the first-ever Memorandum of Agreement between the USMS and the United States Army Special Operations Command (USASOC). His expertise extended to briefing Department of Justice executive leadership, ambassadors, and foreign government officials on national policy and strategy, directly influencing key U.S. domestic and foreign policies.
Throughout his career, Tex played a crucial role in numerous high-profile cases, including the Johnny Stanfa mob case, the Ted Kaczynski Unabomber investigation, the Latin King Gang case, and the manhunt for the D.C. Snipers, John Muhammad and Lee Malvo. He also established and led the North Carolina Violent Fugitive Task Force, where he supervised all violent fugitive investigations in the Eastern District of North Carolina and commanded four high-risk fugitive teams.
In addition, Tex initiated and managed the USMS’s participation in the multi-agency Special Operations Division. He oversaw the production and dissemination of classified intelligence, forging successful collaborations with other federal agencies that resulted in high-impact operations. Tex's outstanding career earned him several prestigious awards, including the USMS Director’s Award, the International Narcotics Association Law Enforcement Officer of the Year, the North Carolina Law Enforcement Officer of the Year, the FBI Director’s Award, and the Director of Intelligence Meritorious Award.
Before his law enforcement career, Tex served honorably in the United States Navy onboard the USS Constellation CV-64 from 1991 to 1995.
Outside of his professional life, Tex is a successful entrepreneur and an avid outdoorsman. He founded and manages "Outdoor Gentleman," a company dedicated to connecting people through their shared love of the outdoors. Passionate about mentoring, Tex regularly guides young hunters, imparting lessons that extend far beyond hunting and fishing.
