Josh's career with the USMS began in 1998, following his graduation from the University of Arizona with a Bachelor of Science degree in Criminal Justice. His first assignment was in Phoenix, AZ, where he served as Street Coordinator for the Arizona District Fugitive Task Force. In this role, he played a crucial part in targeting dangerous fugitives and coordinating operations. During this period, Josh also served as District Coordinator for the Organized Crime Drug Enforcement Task Force (OCDETF), where he focused on dismantling major Mexican Cartel operations, targeting some of the world's most dangerous criminals.

As his career progressed, Josh became a member of the elite USMS Special Operations Group, where he was involved in numerous high-threat details and enforcement actions. His expertise in technical surveillance and crisis response led to his appointment as Deputy Branch Chief of the Technical Operations Group (TOG), a national security investigative branch specializing in advanced electronic surveillance. In this role, Josh was responsible for overseeing all Western U.S. operations, as well as international and military engagements. His leadership in this position provided critical support in thwarting sophisticated domestic and international threats against the United States.

His collaborative approach has enabled him to effectively coordinate efforts across agencies to address some of the most pressing security challenges of our time.

Throughout his career, Josh has been recognized with several prestigious awards, including the Robert Forsyth Valor Award, the Federal Law Enforcement Officers Association Heroism Award, the Director’s Honorary Award, and the Director of National Intelligence Meritorious Unit Citation. These accolades reflect his commitment to excellence and his significant contributions to national security.

Now, as the Director of the Los Angeles office, Josh brings his extensive experience in technical operations, executive protection, and crisis response to 1789 Investigations Group, where he continues to safeguard the interests of clients across the Western United States.
