Chris Street is the Director of the Washington, D.C. office at 1789 Investigations Group, leveraging an extensive career that spans over two decades in federal law enforcement and corporate security. With a background that combines hands-on investigative experience with high-level strategic oversight, Chris has developed a reputation for his expertise in technical surveillance, intellectual property protection, and the implementation of cutting-edge security measures.

Chris began his career with the United States Marshals Service (USMS) in 1996, where he served for 20 years, culminating in his role as a Senior Inspector with the Technical Operations Group. In this position, Chris led complex criminal investigations, both domestically and internationally, utilizing advanced technical surveillance and counter-surveillance techniques. His work involved developing detailed patterns of life for criminal and intelligence targets, integrating data from various sources including mobile device exploitation, cellular records analysis, and open-source information. Chris's ability to synthesize this information into actionable intelligence made him a key player in high-stakes operations targeting High-Value Individuals (HVIs) and criminal organizations, both in the United States and abroad.

During his time with the USMS, Chris also served as a point of contact in an overseas intelligence fusion center, where he interfaced daily with leadership from the Intelligence Community and United States Special Operations Command. His expertise in technical surveillance led to the successful execution of missions that required precision targeting of HVIs using advanced cellular exploitation tools. Chris was also a certified USMS instructor, responsible for developing and delivering training programs on wireless technology, technical surveillance equipment, and investigative techniques. His contributions in this area were instrumental in enhancing the capabilities of task force officers from various federal, state, and local agencies.

After retiring from the USMS in 2016, Chris transitioned to the private sector as the Director of Intellectual Property Protection and Global Security at Abbott Laboratories, a Fortune 100 company. In this role, he led efforts to mitigate insider threats and intellectual property theft, conducted vulnerability analyses for facilities across multiple continents, and established a Technical Surveillance Counter Measures (TSCM) program. His work involved developing a holistic risk assessment program that integrated TSCM into traditional security assessments, ensuring the protection of the company’s trade secrets and intellectual property on a global scale. Chris also provided training to employees at all levels, from line workers to C-suite executives, translating complex security concepts into understandable terms.

In 2022, Chris joined Mayvin Inc. as a Senior Program Analyst for the USMS Body Worn Camera Program. Here, he played a critical role in training USMS and state and local task force personnel on the deployment of body-worn camera systems, as well as collecting and categorizing digital evidence used in criminal and fugitive investigations. As a subject matter expert in cellular exploitation tactics, Chris developed innovative solutions to increase program enrollment, reduce costs, and enhance training throughput.

Chris's educational background includes a Bachelor of Science degree from the United States Air Force Academy and a Graduate Certificate in Intellectual Property Law from Seton Hall School of Law. He has also completed specialized training in Technical Surveillance Counter Measures and digital evidence acquisition through the Interagency Training Center and the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center (FLETC).

Today, as the Director of the Washington, D.C. office at 1789 Investigations Group, Chris continues to apply his extensive experience and technical expertise to lead complex investigations and security operations, ensuring that the highest standards of safety and confidentiality are maintained for his clients.
